Lakefest Update
Well, Lakefest was tons of fun this year. Traffic was a bit worse than normal since they closed the street down for some reason this year. But anyway, on to the important part.
Nicole and Hillary picked me up and we rode up there. Saw a lot of people I knew and got to hang out w/ Hillary (which was awesome since I hadn't seen her since Nicole's last get-together). Anyway, we walked up to Cassie's house (since she was having a yard sale) so we talked to her and Robin for a bit before walking around lakefest and seeing the sights. No hemp lady this year (much to Hillary and Nicole's dismay) *g* Saw some people I hadn't seen since graduation (Blair, Tyler, Zack, Jonsie, Amanda W. and some others) Talked to a few people I had (Amber, Sam, etc.)
Around 5 we headed to Sobo to pass some time while we waited for the fireworks later that night. Ended up talking/walking/randomly looking through Wal-mart before getting dessert at Applebees. Now Applebees was interesting. From the waitress (randomly decided I was like 11 for some reason) and talking to me like a little kid as well as beingstuck dumb that I didn't want anything to drink to Hillary's sucky lying (una canalla) it was entertaining. Plus just Nicole. And I won't say anymore about what happened with her. If you know Nicole....you can guess. :P
Headed back to cville for the fireworks (which were awesome from the bridge (or at least I thought they we're pretty) Then again, I probably thought they we're pretty b/c I got to see so many friends I hadn't seen in such a long time. Rod, Meghan, Jeff, Lauren, Michelle, and Lauren's new bf met up with us. Lots of fun. I'd missed Rod, Jeff, and Meghan bunches. I rarely get to see them anymore which is sad. But I got to talk to them for a while so that was nice. Everyone seems to have their plans set for the future. Should be interesting to see which ones come through and which ones make more changes to those plans.
Def. an awesome Lakefest. (only thing that could have made it better was if I'd been able to catch up w/ Dressler.:( I looked for her the whole time but I never saw her.) Looks like a trip to her house will be in order soon.
