life?!

Hello world,

I am very happy it is Thanksgiving. A grand holiday dedicated to food and people. Two good things.

Thinking back to the last three months, it's been really busy. I've actually been working every day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays - all wonderful and rewarding kinds of things, but it's been kinda tiring.

It's also been tiring because there is a little zygote that lives inside me now.

How could that happen? you might ask.

well, when I asked my mother how children I made, when I was very young, she answered that when a man and woman love each other very much, they have a child.

I often worried, until I learned where babies really come from, that if I really loved somebody, I might accidentally have a baby.

And then I grew up, and after this and that and everything else realized that mom had a point after all. It is a very nice thing to be making a little zygote with someone I love very much and who loves me very much. So we'll see how that goes. There is still a whiles to go. But I suppose it is very exciting.

What else? All kinds of things. My little brother is getting married, and I am flying to him engagement party in SF on Dec 15th - which is exactly our 24th anniversary of living in America. That also means that I will be in the same room with both my mother and my father for the first time in about 22 years. Which is actually pretty meaningful, all things considered.

In preparations for his upcoming nuptials my brother decided to get his thrice broken nose re-positioned back into the middle of his face, as opposed to the left cheek where it has been residing for the last few years, and after fixing sixteen broken bones the doctor said that if he breaks it again he might as well call himself Michael Jackson.

Speaking of noses, the doctor who looked at my ultrasound said that my little zygote has a "strong nasal bone" and I told him that the word we have for that is "Jew", but it was still a nice thing to hear. It better be a very Jewie baby, considering the number of Jew diseases I am apparently a carrier of, including one that apparently only occurs among Polish Jews, so now I know just a tiny bit more about my family history. Learning about the past through genetics is mad cool.

What else? Probably not much now, but there a lot of thoughts in my brain I would like to write about, but right now I have to take my famous lemon pie with a turkey on it and go to see most beloved friends. I'll show you the pie picture soon.
