Then the judge allowed the youngest babies to stay with their mothers, and I thought it would be the end of the LJ discussions. However, at that point Natasha moretp felt that she had more to say about this situation, having a personal insider knowledge of how the FLDS really were. She wrote her post after talking to me on the phone, just to get it out on paper what awful people FLDS were, at least in Utah.

Now Natasha may well be right, and the children need placement in foster care. I would just like at least SOME of these charges substantiated in Texas before ripping families apart over a hoax phone call.

In moretp's post, you and Angerona started a discussion. That was the first time I have ever seen you in LJ. The two of you disagreed, and you wrote your rebuttal to her, which you linked out of moretp's post.

For a long time now, I have been looking for a CPS side of things of what has happened (not only in Texas, but all over the USA with the changing balance of parental rights vs. protecting children). Shortly after you published the post, I linked it from my LJ, with a short commentary (no, it was not favorable).

At the time, I thought you were a CPS agent. At this this point I am not sure what it is that you do... but it seems to me that you are somehow connected into the CPS machinery.

When you published your rebuttal, I linked that also, since I felt my readers would like to see it, but most of them would not be going to your journal routinely. I have not linked this point because I feel it is more... private... and really intended for a limited audience.

I have to say that if I asked you to write the scariest possible CPS agent's viewpoint onto the average American family, you could not have done a better job. It may not be what you wanted to convey... but the level of disrespect to an average parent, to the child-parent bond, and the sense of... power-trip and entitlement... is overwhelming. I am not sure why you don't see it. I have to wonder if it has something to do with having your own child, as it is painfully obvious to nearly all parents, and yet many of my childfree friends think your manifesto is right on. Or maybe there is another reason, a different mindset, I am not sure.

Anyway, that is how you ended up on yandex top 30. ;-) I think the readership of my blog stayed about the same as before.

However, I am truly and honestly grateful to you for writing those posts. They may not have had the effect you expect... but parents needed to see them. Thank you.
