(no subject)

Anyone who can should watch "How I Planned to Kill Tony Blair" - documentary about an Iraqi journalist who was held by the US military for 9 MONTHS - most of that time at Abu Ghraib - on absolutely no evidence.

While we all sit around watching TV, shopping, and complaining about rising gas prices, our government spreads tyranny and fascism around the globe and pretends this somehow "wins hearts and minds."

Yunis (the guy who is the subject of the documentary) says he had thoughts, while in prison, of carrying out the crimes he was accused of once released. He had never had such desires before his imprisonment.

But when he actually got out, he realized he just wanted peace.

He's a very level-headed guy though. I can't imagine that many people in that situation are able to handle their anger and resentment so well.

And all indications are there are a lot more people who experienced basically the same story.
