Bill Bailey = Awesome

So we took a trip to Sheffield last night to see Bill Bailey do his comedy/music thang and it was brilliant. I haven't laughed so hard in ages! So much brilliant funny stuff that I can't even recall most of it.. it's all merged into one big blur of hilarity. Though one thing I do remember is him stating that his 22 year career in comedy could be described as a "meteoric rise to fame... if the meteor was actually being dragged by an arthritic donkey through a badly-ploughed field in Poland". Or words to that effect. :D

Anyway, I tried out my super snazzy new camera at the gig and so thought I would share with you some of the results of my snapping:

Let me start of by saying this camera is FAB! I love it so! So easy to use (and it looks cool!) and just look at the results! Bear in mind also that aside from one or two pics where I have cropped the picture down from the original pic and then reduced the pic in size, the majority of these pics have been reduced down to 25% of their original size - that's how big, and in how much detail, this camera takes photos!!

This was a rare photo where you can see Bill's face! Although the camera is fabby and has a special high sensitivity setting (for use in dark, indoor conditions) which I was using, the brightness of the stage lights (and the fact that Bill permanently had a spotlight shining on him) did tend to white out the finer details!

"Hooorrrrrrrrnnn!" Sorry! :D

To give you an idea of how awesome the 10x optical zoom on this camera is.. here's a non-zoomed in picture that shows how far away from the stage we actually were when I was taking these pics!!

Yes. He's riding a trouser press. Don't ask! :D

I love this camera. Now I've had a play and sort of gotten the hang of it, I can't *wait* to get some incredible high res pics at Collectormania this weekend!
