Wow I haven't updated in a while.

Lots of things happened in the week-plus I didn't update, so here they are in roughly chronological order.

I spent Thursday 11/16 at home working on my UC apps in order to gain the right to go to Honor Choir. That turned out to be a very productive day. Yay for that, although not yay for missing school.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday was Honor Choir. WOO WOO! It was....fantastically superawesomefunfunfun. Being in a giant chorus with people who care, have technical skill, and pay attention! Hardcore! Much joy was had indeed.

Friday night, when we had two hours to go and have dinner on our own, I met up with George and we had dinner and walked around (this was on Stanford campus). I'm not telling you what else we did >-) (relax, nothing untoward happened). Sigh. It was so wonderful seeing him again.

I didn't get much homework done that weekend, and naturally I find out on Sunday night that we've got a physics test and a compsci test on Tuesday. Doom! I actually didn't spend that much time studying for them, more freaking out and randomly doing other homework, which was really stupid of me. But both tests turned out to be reasonable. Physics was hard as always, but I was as prepared as I could have been; studying longer wouldn't have helped. The compsci actually turned out to be really easy. Plus, at the end we had to write a basic sentence-generator...I liked that question :D

Nothing much happened on Wednesday.

Thursday, Thanksgiving. Woot. We actually had a fairly traditional meal, which is surprising because my mom likes to experiment on our relatives. Last year we had lamb shanks; the year before we had masaman curry. O.o But this year my grandparents brought the main course (ham), and I amused myself adding random things to the shmoo. Yep, Iron Chef WTF shmoo. Shmoo is mashed yams, which I've been making and enjoying since I was little. Dad named it after the animals from Li'l Abner, which I know nothing about. But anyway, on Thursday I decided the shmoo needed a little something extra. So in addition to the usual brown sugar and butter, I added orange zest, tangerine juice, and cinnamon. Nothing was really weird, but everything was spur-of-the-moment. It ended up tasting really good.

So today I am college-app-writing and working on Christmas presents. Beads + memory-wire ring templates = wine glass disambiguators. Yay for practical applications of art.

random, singing, iron chef wtf
