This journal is going to be a place for me to post about my latest projects that I'm working on for life and the SCA. Should be interesting, I think. I've got a busy winter planned for myself. I'm planning on working on 3 different dresses.
One is modeled after the Maria de Medici dress that is my user icon.
One is a black and white late tudor/early elizabethan gown that someone nicknamed the chess dress and the name has stuck in my head.
One is a venetian dress with the gorgeous cutwork sleeves.
I also want to work on making some new summer camping garb. Last summer I made greek chitons, and this summer I want to have some middle eastern style entaries to go with them so I have a little more variety. And maybe some warmth.
Also, this winter I am planning to explore medieval cooking with a little more depth and I have started brewing up some cordials. I have started with a raspberry cordial and with an orange-clove cordial. Both were made with brandy, although the next two that I am planning to make will be made with vodka. Those two will be a rose-vanilla cordial and a coffee cordial. I am also planning on a mixed berry cordial and a raspberry-peach-cinnamon cordial. I'm not sure how the last one will turn out, but I think it will be tasty. I'll let you know in 6 months or so. I plan to post some pictures soon, but we'll see if I can take some that will turn out.
