1. What does this icon you use mean to you?
This icon is the first dress that I fell madly in love with once I seriously decided to do the whole SCA thing and once I really decided to do the whole Elizabethan thing and started doing some research and looking at portraits. My MIL and I did an approximation of this dress using burgundy fabric, but sometime I'd like to get some deep forest-y green velvet and try for something a little closer.
2. In high school: football, basketball, or track?
No sports. I did drama. Shocking, I'm sure. On stage, off stage, lights, costumes, make-up. Anywhere near the stage. It's also where I fell madly in love with Shakespeare. It was free and we were a poor school.
3. Why did you take up making cordials?
The blame for me taking up cordials lies squarely with our darling Anplica. I tasted some of her cordials this summer and after I read how easy they were to make and spent a goodly amount of time reading over them I started making them. They're almost like cooking in that you can throw a bunch of goodly tasting things into jars and pull them out and *poof* you've got a tasty drink.
4. Yellow, or Fuchsia?
Fuchsia. I find yellow to be such a depressing color, not to mention the fact that wearing yellow makes me look like I'm ill to death. Which is really my singular complaint about living in Northshield is that one of the colors is yellow and I loathe the color so.
5. Would you rather be Queen or a Board Member?
Queen. I'm not sure I have time to be either at this moment, but I think I'd enjoy the role of Queen more than the role of a board member. Plus you're only Queen for 6 months and I'm fairly sure the board would take up more time than that.
