thr33pointone4 last night, my absence of LJ posts came up (aka "the commuuuunity"). Where have I been, she wondered? So, I'm posting.
In the past week I drove from Buffalo to Canandaigua to Rochester to Corning and back all in one day. Why? Visiting a friend, a Dark Oak meeting, a need to stop at Target on the way to buy a gift, and an engagement party for the aforementioned wedding that I'm in. I have two new Dark Oak projects. About ten new Mellon projects. I'm overseeing the redesigning of Mellon's current office, while also overseeing the opening and redesigning of a new office (thankfully I know a professional interior designer. I feel like I'm on Design on a Dime some days). I'm overseeing/designing the company's new web and print campaign (thankfully I have a little marketing and design support to back me up a little). I'm in on the hiring process for designers and programmers. I had an intern award party to organize at Mellon. I had my own party to organize (last night). My family visited from Houston. Sarah started pre-season. I've had a few job interviews. In between, there's been an in flow of opportunities to catch up with old friends.
That's about it. I'm going to try to post more.
