Friday: busy day at work then went to the Oakland Airport to pick up G cause he decided to come to town and sleep over a second weekend in a row. ate with the Indo crew at Elephant Bar right off the waterfront, which was beautiful and yummy. Joyce and Special Ed asked me to come out but i've been cool off partying so i decided to stay home and just have a get. invited people over for drinks and food. i only drank beer playing Power Hour, which is a shot of beer every minute for an hour. it's harder than it sounds cause you get hella full. i took 5 shots and i was too full to move. then Special Ed called me and gave me grief so i just went to bed but 5 minutes later, my roomie and her friends were knockin on my door and jumping on my bed for me to come downstairs and finish the game. i only took a few more beer shots and snuck upstairs again to pass out. i must have only drank 1 and a half beers; my weak ass. lol
Saturday: went to Fleet Week with Special Ed. it was such a beautiful day and another fun adventure. walking through SF, you can find things you wouldn't normally see from just driving around. we found this hidden park with a waterfall and stream in the middle of a busy street! i was amazed. hung around and saw the Blue Angels, which was a nice show. the sailors even put on a really good concert at Pier 39 that got me dancing to old school music. we walked around Justin Herman Plaza and Embarcadero Center just having a good time exploring the town once again... headed out with Julia, Sophia and G to a friends' private birthday party at a club for a minute then met up with Jesse, Rich, Cyrus, Des, Mark and friends at Kennedy Bar for a brewski. did that whole drunken stroll around SF thing and ended up at Cyrus' for the night and didn't sleep a wink which was a bad idea cause Sunday is study day...
Sunday: forced myself to get up and walk the 30 minutes from Cyrus' house to the Muni station to go home. i was half way to the station when Jesse caught up to me and walked me the rest of the way. he was worried about me walking alone so he ran to catch up to me. i'm so happy that i've been meeting caring people left and right. Julia and G even called me worried too cause they went out with me but i went off with the guys so they kept checking on me. i really appreciate how i found friends who care so much for me. i'm so thankful for building such great relationships. before getting on the Muni, headed to Union Square to get a triple shot at Starbucks so i could stay up and study. George was working so he hooked me up. went home to chill with G for a bit then spent the rest of the day studying at school on a holiday weekend. =P

at the staff meeting, i was recognized as top associate of the month with highest number of refferals and sales. i was #2 last month. i opened 2 $200,000+ accounts in one day so they were happy. i dunno what that does for me. hopefully, a fat bonus??? haha it's nice though, i like the competition. 2 of our personal bankers are leaving the end of this year and i was thinking of going for the position. it might be too stressful though, i'm not sure. it would be nice to make that skrilla and move on up though...
You don't have to know me personally to see that I'm known as 'the down ass chick'. You can tell all that from knowing me personally or taking a quick look at my page. I'm all about good times but I'm tired of the fast life. The reason I am how I am is because I love enjoying life, I love to dance, I love building good bonds with good people. Those are the top 3 reasons why I live the way I do, but it doesn't have to be like that. Because I'm always trying to better myself as an individual, I've decided to lay back on the fast life and not to seek happiness from finding out where the hot spot is. Don't get me wrong, if I'm invited to sit and have a drink during happy hour and talk about life, I'm down; if I'm invited to a birthday party or something, I'll go, but none of that "what's crackin tonight' routine. Instead, I will continue to enjoy life with what comes my way and appreciate the good company I am in. Ultimately, that's really what I want out of my social life; to be in good company. Cheers to that!
i don't usually go into too much detail about the guys i've met but this one guy left an impression on me. i was walking out of the subway station to head to work when i passed by this fine guy but i just looked for a second and kept walking. a block and a half down the street, he caught up to me and we had a nice convo:
Damon: excuse me Miss, my name is Damon and i saw you were dogging me back there. lol i can tell from your walk that you're single and confidant and there's something about a confidant woman that makes me want to talk to you.
me: haha i didn't mean to dog you, i'm sorry. you can tell all that from my walk, huh?
Damon: yes, i can tell your strut that you're confidant cause most people walk around lookin all depressed but not you. you have L.A. written all over you. are you from L.A.?
me: i guess you got me all figured out, huh, but i'm from the bay.
Damon: realy? you seem so L.A. to me. what sign are you, when were you born?
me: april 9th
Damon: ok, so you're an Aries. we're good together. you can get a little bossy being an Aries but i can take that. actually, except Tuesdays cause i get sleepy on Tuesdays but otherwise, i can take your bossiness.
me: *laughing* you just met me and you're putting me down already?! you got jokes.
Damon: haha you're single so i know you're looking for a good guy. i just came from the gym but usually i look a bit nicer than this. you looking good with your flat stomach and nice style; you gotta show me a thing or two at the gym. i have a good job and i'm a gentleman too. but one thing, you gotta like sushi, do you like sushi?
me: yes
Damon: good. oh yah and peanut butter sandwiches too. you have to like that and we'll be cool
me: hhaha i do. i'm sorry but i need to get to work.
Damon: ok ok see, you're so demanding you got me in check already. could i take down your number?...
i can't believe this happened. only in the movies do you get out of the subway station and spot someone you think is hot and exchange a quick glimpse and the person follows you to take a chance and see if they can get your number to take you out. Damon is a really good looking, articulate, 6'5 black guy who seems very confidant, himself. who knows if he's like this to every girl he sees, but it doesn't hurt to talk and see where it goes. even if it doesn't go anywhere, the convo was so funny and he's so animated that it would be nice to have him as a friend...
