I wanna heal, I wanna feel
What I thought was never real
I wanna let go of the pain
I've felt so long
(Erase all the pain till it's gone)

SO I've decided to start over. A brand new journal. So here goes.

In October I became a mother for the first time. My son was born 7lbs 2oz, 19 inches long. He was perfectly healthy and was, as the nurses and all who came to see him will atest, the most beautiful baby. We took him home and have been enjoying parenthood ever since.

Now T.J. is four months and chuunky. He has his four month appointment soon to get his next round of shots and to get weighed and measured. He's in size two diapers, and wears 3-6 month clothing. He has started teething, can almost sit up completely by himself, found his feet yesterday.

Usually, I am very OCD about my house. It's not very large, so messes pile up quickly and it's always easy to spot any lack of housework. So I would vacuum at the very least every other day, dust three times w week, and wash, by hand, all of the linoluem/tile surfaces in the house. Which really is more than you'd think, considering it's only a onelevel home.

And now? Well, I'm lucky if I get the chance, between work and motherhood, to vacuum once a week, or mop once a week, and I can go days before I dust. It's been an adjustment, because I hate people thinking that because of the size of our house we're poor white trash, so I would always make sure it's clean so that they would know that hey, here we take care of our shit.

But now...yeesh. I mean our house isn't filthy. It's healthy and everything like that, but it's...not like it used to be.

Anyway, on another note. It's actually a nice day today. It's been FREEZING, like under 20 degrees during the day, and today it's in the fifties. I think we might bundle little T.J. up and take him for a walk...and then tomorrow it's back to the GRIND.

Thankfully it's a short week thought...Thursday is two-hour early release, and then we have a four day weekend. So that's nice. As long as I can make it til then!
