“Is it possible? To have more than one true love?”
Regina laughs a little. “Dear, of course it is. It’s just difficult to find love more than once. She does have to love you back for true love’s kiss to work, after all.”
“I just….I don’t even know if I love her. I just want her to have her life back, remember her family and friends.” Ruby places the apple on the table and studies the half-moon marks in its skin. “I want her to be happy.”
“What if she is happy now?”
“She didn’t choose to give up her life,” Ruby snaps. “It was taken away from her.”
“And if she gets her memories back and she goes back to Gold?” Regina prompts gently, the lines around her eyes deepening.
“Then she does.”
