"Hands Open" by Snow Patrol. It reminds me of Nate/Sophie, especially with these lyrics:
"It's not as easy as willing it all to be right
Gotta be more than hoping it's right
I wanna hear you laugh like you really mean it
Collapse into me, tired with joy"

Um, this one is hard, but I guess it would be that I ship Glinda/Fiyero in the Wicked-verse under certain circumstances, and it seems that no one, literally, no one as far as I know does.

Okay, you get explanations as well. :)
1. Sophie Devereaux: I fell in love with her character the second I started watching Leverage. I like the fact that she's quirky but grounded, and that she has a very aware sense of what she believes is right and wrong, which is interesting considering that she's a grifter. When her character is consistent, I can't get ( ... )

I had a dry spell with Nate/Sophie for a little while, just kind of burnt out on writing them, and I've been struck with new inspiration. I just finished The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton, and I couldn't stop picturing Nate and Sophie in the parts of Archer and Countess Olenska. I think most of that was the way Ellen was described, but, still, the complications of the romance, the intensity and quiet comfort, it brought new ideas to the surface.
Which is great because that's my focus pairing for the Het-Big Bang.
