The Wind Song Time

So, if you've noticed, the muse for the Belle series has left on an extended vacation.  However occasionally I do get little bunnies that sometimes demand to get written.  Like this one. Obviously it is not a part of the Belle series.  It was only supposed to be a drabble, but it evolved.

This is post JE.  And I hate the new posting thing.  >_As ( Read more... )

D'aww! This was fantastic :). And while I can't wait for the next in the Belle series, I do have to say that I like this version of Ten II a little better ;-).

I loved the calm romantic moment this made me envisage. And yay that the Doctor kept Jonathan with them!! That was the more logical choice.

Basically I loved this. :D

I hoped it would be seen as calm and slightly romantic. =) Of course Jonathan would stay. =D In my mind, Ten II would have had the same problem as Donna, and maybe staying together would have stopped it. =/ *glares at RTD*

Glad you liked it, and thank you for the comments.

This is wonderful. I love the idea that they would go to Ionia to be cleansed, before starting their new lives together. And it was an interesting chage, having TenII be Donna's brother, and not hers and the Doctor's child.

And I had to laugh out loud at the bet. So Mickey, Martha and especially Jack didn't think the Doctor and Donna would get together?!?! Silly humans (and Boe-kind)!!!

Oddly enough, the name Ionia came from ion and the ion fan that is supposed to cleanse the air that hubby wants to get, that he won't shut up about. Heh.

It's always made sense to me that Ten II would be a brother rather than a son. =D

Yeah, Jack was a little slow there. But that part was a quick spur of the moment add in, so I just wrote names. O_o

Glad you liked it, and thank you for the comments.

If only they had started to deteriorate immediately. It would've stopped the Doctor's plan in its tracks. And nice touch with the TARDIS slamming the doors in Rose's face. :D

I like the idea of cleansing. As a yogini, I can appreciate it. So I love the picture you painted of the planet and the clothes. And how the Doctor and Donna were drawn to each other.

But I especially loved how Jonathon and Sarah Jane were the only ones who saw what was about to happen. I can get why Martha and Mickey didn't see it, but Jack? Losing his touch... :P

It would have. *sigh* Makes for good fic ideas though. =P I enjoyed writing the doors slamming in Rose's face. It's fun. Things should slam in her face more often...

Wind has always struck me as sort of cleansing ever since I stood out on the South Dakota prairie one day while coming home from visiting my brother in law. We stopped in De Smet to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder Home and Museum they have there, and just outside of the town we decided to pull over and take a walk on the prairie. The wind and the grass and the wide open space is just fantastic. It actually does feel cleansing in a way especially after a rain. Loose silk fabric lends itself well to blowing in the wind without pulling on a body. And silk does tend to shimmer in the sun.

Honestly, when I chose who won and lost the bet, I just picked names. =P I'd like to think Jack would be a little quicker in the noggin there... =D

Glad you liked it, and thank you for the comments.

Oh this is so lovely -- so spiritual and moving, I love how you work in so much varied culture and practice into your stories, enriching them. Beautiful romance! And I ADORE the idea of Jonathan and Donna needing to be together for the metacrisis to survive ♥ In fact, I'll need to send Akhilanda this way if she's about this weekend, she's looking for some inspiration for Ten/Donna/TenII ;D

Thank you for the comments. =) I'm so glad you liked it.

This was supposed to become Ten/Donna/Ten II, but at the last minute Donna and Jonathan having a sibling relationship seemed to work better. I like to think they're twins of a sort. Psychic twins that share a mind.

You think this would be good inspiration? *blushes* I'm flattered. Thank you. =)
