It's the day before the day before Christmas. Usually I don't get excited or anxious over Christmas until it's this close. So now I'm excited.
I just wrapped my parents' presents. For the FIRST TIME EVER I have presents for ALL my family members wrapped and ready for Christmas Day. I'm really proud of myself for that one.
I played Sorry and Disney Trivial Persuit with Mom, Jess, and Gammy (my grandmother). Huh, I just now realized I won both ... but not fairly at TP because my mom just wanted to get the game over with - it lasted too long.
I worked from 11 to 5:30 today. I don't mind, actually. I had nothing better to do. I could have been at home with Emily ... no thank you.
Our Christmas Cookie Baking Secret Santa Party was yesterday at Marlee's. It took forever for all of us to finally be there together at the same time, but it was worth it. Caro was my Secret Santa and she got me the most kick ass present. She bought be this wire-ish bowl with beads on it and a candle lamp to match. Then, in the basket was a glass box with pictures of me with all my friends on the lid, the third LoTR book "Return of the King" with a pig bookmark, and a Ty Beanie Baby Bear (I ADORE the bears!) named Star, which is awesome because my 'symbol' - long story - is the star. There was also a Milky Way attached to the box ... that was good enough! LOL Thank you SO MUCH Caro, I heart you!
I had Lindsay and I think she liked her present (notice the MAJOR understatement) considering she couldn't stop laughing when she saw her 'Picky, Picky' poster. Plus the beer glasses - representative of a 'deep' convo we had at lunch once. hehe
Courtney and Burton came to the party too ... we watched Indiana Jones and chomped on pizza rolls while some of us made cookies. Then we went outside and played 'Red Rover' and 'Hide-And-Go-Seek'. I took Emily home and when I came back it turns out I missed Courtney being duct-taped to a tree. And I wasn't even gone twenty minutes. Sheesh. Later on we started watching LoTR - Fellowship, but each had to get home at our own times.
Sorry I didn't spend the night, Mar.
So yeah ... dunno what the plans are for tomorrow. I know I'm not working because Vickie is only open until noon. I figure Mom has something in plan, but I don't know what. Guess we'll see. And maybe Emily will actually go along with them. Hmm ... that'd be a miracle.
