giggity-giggity

first entropy gig in glasgow last night, it went pretty well, and i broke a sufficient amount of skin on my hands. in retreospect it was quite lucky i was using someone else's bass otherwise it would have been in tatters. it was with G-Plan and Wall Street Ammunition Hero. WSAH were fucking brilliant, and they always look like they're having so much fun. added to the fact that they are ridiculously nice, self-deprecating people, they are pretty much the perfect band.

check out this video on the bbc website: me, john and erik are at the front for ...Trail Of Dead. how cool am i? that's right, not merely unbecool but unbequendacool. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/collective/A3417202

erik is also a genius because he has tracked down episodes of Fist Of Fun (the thing with stuart lee and richard herring) that some brilliant visionary had the presence of mind to record at the time and upload onto their computer. a toast to you both. while i am on the subject of individual brilliance, disenchantdpony deserves a mention because i was not in the mood to dance on friday and she managed to make me, and it was excellent. Not even Kandy (or is it Candy?) Pop by Bis got me up, but then she pulled out "Itsuko Got Married" by Bearsuit which is absolute class. i couldn't resist.

in response to heyladyray's expression of appreciation at being introduced to the pippettes, i must extend my gratitude to philrar and heyladyray for the very same reason. i can't wait until they play up here and i can be all smug and know all the songs already.

i love the new charlotte hatherley single, i wish i had money to buy it. I only managed to get food this week cos we got paid for the gig. in fact given my financial position it is quite strange that i have been in a good mood for a while now.

anyway, must get on with my project. i only stopped because my dreams have been haunted by transfinite numbers the last few days. murderous ordinals, rampaging cardinals (i've always wanted to use that phrase) etc. byyyyyeeeeeeeizh (that is pronounced buy-ee-zhivago but without the ivago)
