X-mas is here, along with the chilly weather
Right.
I've decided to get all my X-mas shopping done asap.
And I still don't know what I am going to get.

But what I have decided to do is get those friends who I *do* know what I am going to get.

Zarrah: Dino Crisis 2 Strategy Guide
Rachael: Already gave her hers since I took her to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. (The only secret there being that they've actually *improved* since the first film)
Vickie: The Corrs: Live in Lansdowne Road CD
Nerissa: various odds and sods from the candle/bathy stuff shop in the local market
Emily: I have nooooo idea (and did I mention I need her b'day pressie as well)
Dad: I am *not* gonna resort to socks again this year (and I need his b'day pressie as well)
Mum: toss up between perfume and slippers. Then again she does have enough perfume.......
Dave (bro): what do you get a 15yr old boy who is already getting a X-Box and several games?
Carol (step-mum): ........... dunno
Callum (step-bro): I stuck with smarties last year, so I'm stumped this year
Rolo: no idea what so ever
so yeah.......... I'm getting off to a great start.

I really think the lecturers are running out of ideas. One in particular.
Brian Sollick. Maths lecturer.
He's just given us an assignment on traffic flow on the Tamar Bridge.
::bland voice:: oh yes, an assignment on the amount of cars that cross a bridge each hour over a 24 hour period. What fun. I can't wait.

on a brighter note: it started snowing down here today.
I got up at 9:30 (didn't have to be in till 11:15) and got out of bed. The rest of the next few seconds went like this:
"It's cold, it's cold, it's f***ing cold, it's co- whoa!"
At that point I pulled open the curtains to see the layer of snow that had covered the garden and was still falling. And it powdery snow, not the wet snow we usually get down here.
Then I remembered just what came with snow: ice.
Every icy path I've walked on, I've tripped on, and the last time I tripped on ice I dislocated my left wrist and ended up having an operation to set it back in place.
So you can see why I'm *so* looking forward to the snow this year.
On the brighter note I was referring to earlier, it did actually look quite pretty, and if I hadn't been backing away from the window 'coz it was so cold I might have actually enjoyed the view.
And I did actually make it on time this morning, which was different. Stupid 11.
And I got my attendance in. I'm not happy. I didn't think I'd been late for that many lectures.
My attendance is 95%
It should be 100% since I haven't missed a lecture yet.
I have been late for a few, but that was only 'coz of the stupid 11 not arriving on time. And with no credit on my phone, how can I let any one know?!
