Erika is only 3 and already asking for a personal cell phone and another dog...
Erika has two toy phones, so she this was her sell: "I need a real one that people can call me on. Not a pretend one, a real one, like yours and Daddys. Because many people call me like Popo and Ah Yi and sometimes Daddy, and so I should get my own phone so they can call me and not you. I will take good care of it and not break it, I promise."
Or then at dinner yesterday, she said "Pumpkin is my favorite cat."
I laughed and said "Pumpkin is your favorite cat because he's the ONLY cat we have!" (Lives at MIL's house but he's technically our cat, circa 2007).
And quick as a lawyer, she replied: "I think we should get another dog. Kade is my favorite dog but I think I would like two dogs, so I can like them both. I am in charge of feeding Kade (true) and walking Kade (also true, I go with her but she holds the leash) and taking care of Kade like brushing Kade (also true) and showering Kade (also true! They shower together), so I will be very good at taking care of another dog."
Holy mackerel, I thought I had more years to go before having to deal with this... for real, my three-year old is asking already!?!
