A New Year
And what better way to bring it in! I felt like absolute CRAP yesterday, spending most of the day asleep as I did not sleep the night before. I did the same last night, so I slept in really late today. Then I decided I wanted to work on my car so I headed out to the garage, traversing around the rivers formed in the driveway from last night's rains.
I figured I should go ahead and replace the driver side running light that decided to die in CT. The funny thing is that a few days ago the passenger brake light went out. Why is this funny? Well, if you are familiar with VW buses you know in every bus there seems to be some issue or another with the passenger tail lights. I thought I was safe parking the bug in the garage but it seems VWs can communicate telepathically because my bus must have told my bug it would be a fun prank to play on me...LOL. yes I am nuts!
So, I took all the tools and parts out of the trunk so I could get to the panels, and went about taking the assemblies out of the car to replace the bulbs. HA HA HA...Somewhere in the crazy wrenching in CT I had forgotten all about my use of the hot glue gun to fix one of the damaged sockets. That one was fun to pick and pry apart, but I prevailed and now my beetle is legal once again with yellow instead of white turn signals. YAY!
So, one of my resolutions is to get my shit together and focus more energy into my business. I have taken over a dollfie pattern site which will be fun and a new direction, and will also help me hone any web building skills to put into my business site that has been on the back burner for far too long. I have goals I am working toward and I feel I am taking the right steps towards meeting them, so let us hope I can stick with it and not let myself down yet again.
