Bored.
It's funny to me how frustrated I was getting with my hat making until I realized I was reading the pattern wrong. Well, that's to say, I didn't understand what I was reading. When I finally got it, then it all made sense as to why it wasn't coming out the way it was supposed to. I say frustrated, but not really, because at least the hats were still wearable, so I didn't waste anything. Plus now I know how to make two different types of hats due to my mistake! LOL. Anyway, I'm wearing my first properly made hat right now and it's comfy and cute and I'm super happy. I'm working on another one right now to practice doing it right, but I'm not sure that the skein I'm using has enough yarn to finish this hat. I guess I'll find out tonight, I'm planning on finishing it tonight. I mean, the skein did only cost me a dollar, so I'm not complaining.
I also tried my hand at arm warmers last night, which came out alright, but it's a little big. I will have to use less chains next time. I really wish I had a blunt needle, that will probably be my next purchase, because threading it together using my crochet hook was a bitch. xD
I decided that buying yarn from etsy is going to be my best course of action once I start getting more practiced, because really, the stuff on there is more what I'm looking for in terms of color and material. It's unique and stunning. =D
My violin is awesome too, btw. Now that I understand how the rosin works, playing the violin makes more sense to me. Gonna start watching some youtube videos in the meantime to try and learn how to get the notes to sound right. My one problem seems to be getting the violin to stay in tune. The pegs just keep loosening. I read that I need to push them farther into the peg box, so I did that, but that's hard to do. I get em in there just a little bit but not enough for the strings to stay in tune. I'll work on shoving em farther in there tonight. xD There's so many parts and things to learn, it's really cool. I needed to give myself something of a challenge, and this on top of crocheting is doing wonders for my tired brain. I'm probably still going to buy an amp for my bass at some point, but I'm focused on my violin right now. =)
