I spent a lot of time to day googling art related to the atom bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and am piqued.  Nothing really exists in American culture to even memorialize that tragic chapter of history.  I'm peeved.

I had difficulty finding info in Japan, but not speaking the language, a google search is a little pointless.  I know they have memorials and a museum in Nagasaki, but WHY is there so little?  Do Americans consider the a-bomb a draw because of Pearl Harbor?  Lord knows, more people suffered with radiation alone than died at Pearl Harbor.  Is this such an ethical gray area that a country cannot mourn its mistakes?

Baffled and grieved at American egocentricity.
