Intro
I realized I'm overdue for an update to my intro post...
I'm Drew. Just turned 27. Currently working in a tech support call center, mostly helping people use Microsoft Office. I'm in a weird in-between temporary supervisor position but I haven't officially been promoted.
My ideas for the future have changed several times over the past few years. I did my undergrad in Linguistics (Pitt '11). Right now, I plan to stay at my current job for hopefully at least the next few years until I figure something else out, which may involve moving to another country.
I'm a trans guy, AFAB (assigned female at birth), started transitioning around 2010. Started testosterone in April 2011. I have tag called gendery things if you want to see how my thoughts progressed with that. I just had top surgery (8/13/15). I'm what I like to call "accidentally stealth" at work. I started this job in October 2012, after I changed all my documents and stuff, so as far as they know, I was born male. I don't really care about gender stereotypes. I kind of went from being a masculine girl to a feminine guy, but I do identify as male.
Romantically, I guess the closest label would be pansexual, but I tend to lean toward female-bodied people: cis women, trans guys, and anyone in-between. I've been un/happily single since December 2011. As in, not thrilled with it but not doing much to change it either.
I live in the Cleveland, OH area, with 3 roommates: Chris, Dale, and Sarah. Sarah is a friend from high school who introduced me to the others. I have an older brother, Phil, who lives about 4 blocks away. My parents are about 3 blocks from him.
I participate in an LGBT marching/concert band, originally in the flag corps but started playing bells this past spring. I currently serve on the Board of Directors as Secretary.
And that's pretty much it.
