The things that I just read on lgbtqnation have upset me beyond belief. I can't believe that some people think that it's a good idea to imprison people for life or even kill them because of their sexuality. I mean, I get that people have beef with gays and lesbians, and as much as I hate to hear about closed-minded people and homophobia, I deal with it, but this? God, people seem so heartless sometimes. If this bill gets passed in Uganda, we're looking at genocide on the hands of people who have struggled so long with something just as similar, but the question is, do they care? Do they care that by passing this bill, they might condemn their best friend to life in prison for knowing that being with a woman is neither what their body or soul wants? Do they have any idea that signing this bill could result in their sister being killed because she had a possibly-lesbionic time in her life that left her with HIV?
Yeah. That's how outlandish this bill is. If you're a one-time offender, you can be sentenced to life in prison, and if you're a repeat offender or have HIV, they'll execute you. Homosexuality is apparently worse than terrorism. Worse. Than. Terrorism. Who in their right mind would think that?!
On top of all of that, the Ugandin magazine, Rolling Stone, released an article, titled 'Hang them!', listing names and addresses of 100 suspected gays and lesbians in Uganda. This is sick! No, it's beyond sick! It's beyond morally wrong!
And if that's no bad enough, we have idiots in the United States, like the vice president of that school in Arizona who posted on Facebook about how the gay population should all commit suicide and that he loves when gays give each othe AIDS and die. Or that pastor/minister/asshole whatever in New York who says that gay people are the equal to those who practice bestiality! And then there's conservipedia which states that same-sex marriage is equal to polygamist marriage. Last time I checked 1 + 1 = 2, not five or ten or who knows how many. Two. The same amout of people in a heterosexual marriage. The difference? Two men or two women instead of one man and one woman. We're all built with the same vital organs and we all need to breathe, eat and sleep to survive. The only difference is the junk. Fuck, we all even have breasts. Deal with it, world!
Although, overall, this isn't nearly as bad as what might happen in Uganda if that bill passes.
What is wrong with the world?
