He is a pirate,
A bird in flight, a title: Captain,
Atop a black hat with feathers,
They share the love of the Sea,
A coat of status, heavy with brocade,
The clicking heals of the boots.

The worn leather shows a history mapped upon the boots,
The swagger and a golden grin of a pirate,
Cloaked in a mask of brocade,
His ship is away from its Captain,
Eyes green, a brewing storm on the edges of the Sea,
A good deed leads to ruffled feathers.

Dirty, ringed hands brush across the feathers,
A curious hand feels the leather of the boots,
He tastes of the Sea,
It is madness, to love a pirate,
More than a Captain,
Strong muscles and a quiet nature underneath the brocade.

When asked of his armor, he fingers the brocade,
A man of intrigue with fiery feathers,
His armor is his title, he is Captain,
Years of travels have begun to show on the boots,
Freedom has come to mean pirate,
The quiet calm after a storm, blue as the Sea.

With a healthy respect and deep sense of awe for the Sea,
The distinct sense of duty from the brocade
And the freedom and wisdom of the pirate:
The wind that blows through white feathers,
He hears the clicking of the boots,
He knows his Captain.

A man of flesh and blood, wearing the coat of a Captain,
In the eyes of the Sea
Clothing means nothing, boots
And metals, layered under brocade,
On the outside are wings with delicate feathers,
He grins cheekily, proud of what he is: a pirate.

His personal sense of honor shows through the heavy brocade,
By moonlight, there are no secrets, the whispers of the Sea
Speak of a Commodore, and a pirate.
