Renting·Reviews 10:11 AM 5/10/08 · I just did a quick skim of AvP: Requiem and I'm a little disappointed. Not in the movie itself...which is damned impressive, especially with bonus footage (though honestly I'm not sure what it was offhand), but in the special features part.
First off, I don't like the audio commentaries options...on any DVD. Frankly they annoy the shit outta me. What I was looking for and not finding were the "making of" bits...which this DVD doesn't have. Now this is the unrated version so I don't know if maybe there's a basic version somewhere that has what I'm seeking. It'd be nice cuz I'd like to see that stuff and hear opinions and stuff from the actors therein.
Also, is it too much to ask for a bloopers reel? I mean, really! I've been through the DVD's of every single Predator film, the entire Aliens series, and both AvP's...not a single blooper in the lot of them. I wanna see Predator weapon malfunctions fem the other side of the camera, Aliens with costuming issues...something!
My original review for this film can be found here:
Clicky! One thing I don't quite get. This movie has about 50 Aliens (xenomorphs or bugs depending on your preference) that are all played, apparently, by Tom Woodruff Jr. The kickass Predator, who I call Bob, is portrayed by Ian Whyte. The two other Preds, because apparently the AvP films require a 3 Pred minimum, are played by Ian Freuer & Bobby "Slim" Jones...
...why isn't the Pred·Alien listed in the credits?
