good question. mostly i've been computerless. my beloved desktop has problems i couldn't fix anymore. i needed something reliable, dependable & i needed it NOW, so i caved and was forced to purchase one of these:
i'm still getting used to this flat keyboard and the mouse pad I can relate, since I'm in the process of getting used to touchscreen keyboard.
iphones are nice. The downside is that you have to look down when typing text messages. I'm addicted to texting. That's why I still use my old Nokia as a regular cell phone. With those "old" phones, I can multitask and even type when walking around, without looking at the keys. So most of the time, I'm carrying around two phones, lol. What I love about iPhone though is that it's like a mini laptop. And I'm such a fan fiction addict. I got myself an ebook reader a few years ago and while it's super convenient for reading ebooks on the couch/in bed, I had to convert fan fics from html to pdf to put them on the reader. For most fics on LJ, it doesn't work, you get the adult content notice when converting directly to pdf. So I had to first copy them (including comments, I love reading comments) from LJ into a Word file and then convert it to pdf. So much work for barely half an hour of reading pleasure. I love that with iPhone, I can read fan fiction wherever now. I still haven't decided if I will give up on my Nokia completely and start using iPhone as a cell phone as well.
