Rose and I have spent today putting up shelves.
Well, by 'shelves', I mean 'bunk beds for our robots, who have finally watched one film too many and have voted in favour of robot beds despite the fact that they do not sleep', but the principle is the same.
It was all a bit of fun, really. We swapped between doing the measuring and drilling; and standing back saying "up a bit on the left, up... up... now up a bit on the right" and similarly helpful things, whilst admiring the back of the other's haircut.
So now the robots have a nice little dormitory, all designed according to their exact specifications. Wall-E sent a grateful email and put a short article of thanks into the robots' evening newsletter. It's nice to be appreciated, isn't it? I suppose this means if we ever go down for breakfast and kitchen is empty of all cooking technology, we will have to go and dig them out from under the blankets they requested be put in their beds.
This is definitely a case of too many movies.
Oh well, I was impressive and manly with a hammer and a non-sonic screwdriver (the sonic's "screw things" setting isn't actually very good *scratches neck* Anyway...) and spend some time admiring Rose being equally impressive (although significantly less manly).
the robots are apparently in charge,
human-like adventures,
rose is brilliant
