Have I mentioned I have the best, most brilliant wife ever? Especially when it comes to enacting brilliant rescues. I probably have, but it bears repeating. Multiple times.
Anyway, it turns out the Playhouse - a theatre right next to Tina's office building - used to be a convent. Not just a convent, but one that was being infiltrated by aliens. The convent closed, the aliens went into hibernation for a bit and only got woken up by some recent work done on the Playhouse. They were angry and made a lot of noise about things. Got overheard, of course, but Tina was the only one who stuck her nose in (I rather like her).
I'm not entirely sure how they planned to take over the world but it seemed to be what they were after. Why does no one ever just quit while they're ahead? They could have just found another convent!
I went in an had a chat with them. Rose made brilliant use of this distraction and rescued Tina before coming back for me.
Let's just say in the end it went all right and I persuaded most of them to go and live somewhere quieter and not cause trouble. *Coughs* Unfortunately in the process the Playhouse burned down. *Coughs*
ANYWAY, did I mention Rose was brilliant? :D
We're currently at Tina's place and sort of... hiding in the guest room and quietly hoping Jackie and Pete are able to smooth it over with the Northern Irish authorities so things go smoothly for us when we try to leave the country. All a bit silly and political, seeing as we did prevent the destruction of the world and the other buildings on the street are only a bit charred.
Still, cuddling Rose in a tiny little room, half watching news reports and mostly just cuddling is one of the best ways I could think to spend an evening. :D
jackie is the best mother in law ever,
being married to rose makes me happy,
hee rose,
