STATE OF THE HOUSE

Creating robots and then giving them the ability to learn, grow and develop is always an interesting thing to try. Leaving those robots to run your house is not necessarily recommended.

That said, I think we did all right.

Admittedly 75% of the kitchenware is now self aware and intelligent, which the Toaster officially recognised as the oldest and wisest cooking tool. They appear to have some sort of parliament. I suspect this will not help with cooking in the long run. (Wall-E is taking his position as consort to the Toaster well.)

Bolt has grown up a little, in that she is now more capable than ever at quickly creating havoc. She's also an expert swimmer, so apparently her waterproofing all works. The Toaster says she wants a sibling. He and Wall-E are considering it.

Fluffy and the vacuum cleaner (which was just a normal vacuum cleaner when we left) and some of the light fixtures (also normal before we left) appear to have some sort of book club going on because when I went to see what was going on, they were discussing vampires in literature.

Most of the house is now solely for robot use. We could go there if we wanted (and if we could squeeze through their doors, some of which are a bit on the small side), but there's nothing for us.

Fortunately, all of the for-human rooms have been maintained nicely for us. Our return hasn't been marked by any celebration, but the general feeling seems to be that we are errant children coming back home for a bit. There was some minor grumbling when I put my foot down about making the shower intelligent, but I'd like to be able to have a wash without getting comments about forgetting to do behind my ears, thank you.

Now... TO BED. Well, not exactly. Rose and I are just planning on taking it easy for a couple of days though, and camping in the bedroom seems like a fantastic plan. This bed of ours is rather fantastic when compared to berths on cut price spaceships, lumpy marshland and the occasional prison cell. Having a bed where we can both stretch out and cuddle is rather fun! :D

ai is always a bad idea, the toaster, fluffy the robot, the robots are apparently in charge, wall-e the robot, rose is brilliant, bolt the robot baby, wall-e and the toaster
