Torchwood might have detected it too.

Region of higher than normal gravity. And it looks like the problem is growing.

Should be all right as long as the rate of growth stays the same. If it's still there in a few hours we should probably get all planes grounded and ships ordered away.

This can't be good.

I can think of things I'd rather do, it must be said.

So where is this on the badness scale? And do we have to pack a bag?

Rose, when you were a kid and you mucked about in school, what happened?

Well, there might have been suspension. Why?

Might have been? And? XD

Anyway, when I mucked around at the Academy, punishments tended to be of a useful/practical nature, and one of those things was dealing with rogue black holes (since gravity distorts time as well as space sometimes things went a bit wrong and we had to clear up - Gallifrey would only intervene in certain cases).

You wanted to know how bad this is?

Twelve year old kid in trouble at school bad, that's how bad.

Well, that's the actual gravitational issue. If there's a bunch of nutters creating it, either a private organisation or government sanctioned like Torchwood, then that's an entirely different issue.

It was worth it. :D (Although I was on Mum's bad side for a while. And then the whole Jimmy thing started, and I was really on her bad side...)

Anyway, this should be easy, yeah? Someone just needs a slap.

*Suddenly sympathises with your mother*

Blech.

And it's so easy, I might just let Susan do it.

Nothing to do with the fact that the reason this sort of thing was a punishment was how deathly boring it is to deal with.

Give it an hour or two and it'll be gone, but it would still be nice to work out who's behind it and have a word.

Oi!

Need a hand? Or at the least I can stay and talk to you while you do whatever.

Coming from someone flicking balls of paper at my students earlier, I think you can at least give me a minor glare about Jimmy! :P

Please! I might die of boredom otherwise. I thought I'd seen the end of this when I graduated!

It's kind of a weird subject for me, you know? I know I let everyone down. Believe me, I paid for it.

So is anything else supposed to happen other than you holding down a button for the last 15 minutes?

*Kisses your nose* Sorry. I'm just being silly.

Speaking of teenage mistakes, I still think I win! Did I ever mention that my best friend at the Academy was insane and went on to spend most of his adult life trying to destroy the universe and/or Earth, often solely to annoy me? So all things considered, I still think you're the smart one! :)

And nope, there's really nothing more to it. Although now we've got to both try and work out who did this and check out Yellowstone (see downthread). Nothing like being busy, eh?

'S'all right. I'll tell you all about it sometime if you really want to know. As long as you try and remember that this universe's Jimmy (if there is one) didn't do anything.

It's nice, though. Okay, that's a weird thing to say, but I like being useful. :)

I'll... leave it up to you. I don't need to know, but if you want to talk then I'll listen.

Did you help him or something?

*Scratches neck* It was... complicated. When we were young we egged each other on - we were worse together than apart. But even after I grew up our... relationship was always difficult. No matter what he did I tried to keep him safe and alive.

Very true! :D

Do we want to head over to the US then, d'you think?
