Still nothing.
This town is very small for everyone apart from Judy Winn to have seen and heard nothing.
Everything apart from Judy Winn, me, and Rose, of course.
As well as trying to communicate with whatever-it-is, Rose and I have been asking around the town (sometimes just if they've noticed something strange and sometimes asking what they think of Judy). Everyone is suspiciously normal. They've seen nothing and heard nothing.
So they say, anyway.
Of course, now's not the time to go accusing an entire town of covering up an alien invasion. There are plenty of more reasonable courses of action. Probably.
Rose fell asleep a bit earlier because we've not really been having much down time. It's not so much that the case is dangerous, more that we've been running around the town at all hours questioning people and testing things. I think I need to remember that she needs more sleep than me, and I definitely won't wake her for a bit. :S
Jackie also called. And then complained when I wouldn't wake up Rose. And accused me of 'running her ragged' and hiding and not calling and for all she knew we could be dead. I listened very devotedly and did not put a movie on (mute, with subtitles) while this call happened.
It was a bit of a rubbish film, anyway.
Might go finish it now, though, while Rose sleeps. I somehow doubt I'm missing out much without the soundtrack. Besides, the occasional Rose-snore could make it a bit more tolerable!
