Incredibly busy day. Really.
Today Rose phoned up someone about the place we want to buy to turn into out Detective HQ. Apparently it is promising! Although it does have to suffer through an inspection by Jackie and Donna first. Is it possible to feel sorry for a building?
As for the rest of today: Rose and I, being the dedicated, universe saving professionals that we are, have spent it with our heads down, diligently working to catch up with the_gary. Really. We left no stone unturned as we toured the local shopping centre. (Yes, I am aware that he claims to be in Vegas in his latest post, but it seemed prudent to make a proper search of London (and pick up some much needed items) before blindly trusting him.)
He wasn't in Thortons, but since they were having a sale on their toffees, it was definitely worth going. Nor was he in Boots, but we needed some new shampoo. It took about fifteen minutes to decide on the best flavour to go for, of course, since these things are important. But I'm sure everyone deserves a break from their terribly hard work every now and again.
Gary also wasn't in Marks, but I needed a couple of new shirts and since it was due to his fire balls that they were destroyed anyway, it was only fair. We didn't find him in John Lewis. But we did find some lovely new sheets and and salt and pepper cellar set to replace the ones I may have accidentally broken the other week.
Apparently Gary's not keen on ladies' clothes shops, but we checked a few JUST IN CASE. And Rose may have bought a few new things.
Our parrot nemesis also doesn't appear to like reading, since we went into Waterstone's and couldn't find him there. I bought a civil engineering text book and a book by someone called Jackie Collins. The cashier told me I'd love it. Rose laughed, so I'm not so certain.
But look what I did find in Waterstone's, hiding in the shelves of books! :D

Isn't she lovely? I'm sure that smile has brightened up everyone's evening. I know it has mine!
