Hello! *Waves*
This internet thing is all a bit new to me. Funny, really: you can go up and down the universe for nine hundred years and never once feel like you need an email, but after living in London ten seconds it suddenly becomes essential. It's not that I've never used the internet, I've just never really thought about doing something like this.
I like to think it's because I'm pushing boundaries and trying out brave new things.
Rose thinks it's because I'm bored.
Which is ridiculous, of course. Admittedly being stuck in one place and time is more boring than life on the TARDIS, and the world doesn't seem to end quite as often as it might do, so I do have to find other ways to occupy by time, but I'm not bored. Rose just sometimes worries that I hate being grounded to one planet.
It's been... nearly eleven months. (I'm nearly a year old, by one measure.) And I still like it here.
Dusting and paying bills and not-waking-up-the-neighbours-with-explosions are all a bit annoying, but simply being here with Rose and getting to have more adventures (admittedly adventures based a lot closer to London than before) more than makes up for any of that. I just had to find something to do in between all of that, so I found the internet.
Rose threatened to put 'safe search' or something like that on when I told her I'd started using the internet. For the sake of my sanity, she said. I think she's teasing me. I hope she is.
(She's in the bath at the moment. She got called into Torchwood this evening, so I went too. We ended up running around a bog, looking for Grurbles (purple coloured insect creatures, about five inches long, which are deadly poisonous to squirrels) and both got rather muddy. So she's locked the door because she said she wanted to get clean, not cuddle in the bath. Which I think is ridiculous, because I'm fairly sure if called upon, I could provide scientific proof that cuddling improves cleanliness.
Ooh, no, hang on a sec. I think she's getting out of the bathroom now. I'd better go and help her find her pyjamas. She'll probably appreciate it.)
