What's a daily activity you must do that's not one of your favorite activities?
Reports. Of course, most people hate filling out reports, but there are some I especially hate.
The ones on the alien technology we find and figure out? I love those. Analysing how we can use it, how it can be developed? I could write those all day, every day. Jack sometimes has to remind me it’s time to go home when I get involved in one of those.
The ones reporting our day to day activities? Not necessarily my favourite, but still, I’m happy to write them, after the ones I prefer, of course. I know the rest of the team hate them, but I don’t mind.
Writing the ones for UNIT - those are the ones I hate. Jack knows how much I do, given my history with them, but he insists that I produce the most efficient reports I can for them. I can see why he does it, to be honest, but sometimes I wish I could just throw all contact with UNIT out of the window. Apparently they are trying to recruit me now. Jack laughed as he told me. Ianto told me what Jack had said to them in response. Apparently some of his thoughts were anatomically impossible.
However, here I am, writing a report on the efficiency of testing a piece of technology the way we have, and how we can develop it to help them - and it sticks in my throat. I hate them after what they did to me. And I hate having to help them now. I wonder how many of the team want to go out for a drink after work?
