Ah, I see now.

This is off of Staind's Myspace.com page. That makes much more sense and now I have to remember to download the real version of Black Rain. I'd love ot hear it.

"BLACK RAIN/EXCESS BAGGAGE"

I'd like to finally clear up the confusion between the two. Excess Baggage IS the hidden accoustic track on DYSFUNCTION. BLACK RAIN is a song Aaron rarely ever does, and if it is performed, its soley done at his accoustic performances, usually by request. Black Rain is the song that "sold" Fred Durst on the band, at his house in Florida, when STAIND went down there to record in January of 1999. Only a few people have really ever heard this song and in all honesty, It's a GREAT song.

Well I know the words
But I can't really speak them
To you
And I hide all the pain
That I've gained with my wisdom
From you
And I'm eaten alive
By what I hold inside
All the things that I live with
I can't easily hide
And I'm left here with nothing
Nothing to live for
But you

It’s not easy to hide
All this damage inside
I'll carry you with me
Until I'm not alive

When you look at my face
Does it seem just as ugly to you
I can't seem to erase
All the scars I have lived with
From you
I'm so sick of this place
And this taste in my mouth
Cause of you I can't figure
What I'm all about
And I'm left here with nothing
Nothing to live for
But you

It’s not easy to hide
All this damage inside
I'll carry it with me
‘Til I'm not alive

Black rain beats against my door
Chips away the worries
Wash away all that's pure
Comes in violent flurries
Light the candles as we speak
It puts them out in stride
Saturating all that's week
It stains your soul inside

Black rain wash away the pain
That is a stain upon my windowpane

Black moon burns upon my face
Cancer has no purpose
Can't remember time nor place
Can't seem to scratch the surface
Flowers wilt and fade away
No time to repent
As we dance around in vast array
Like ants on hot cement

Black moon the end is soon
We see our doom and hide within our glood

Black rain... Black rain...

AND! I was unaware that Aaron Lewis and Vanessa had a second baby girl. Rock on!
