Well I've been bothered by a total of two of the four-ish people who read my livejournal and so I have decided to succomb to peer pressure and post. It's been a month and so I guess a lot has happened.
Well a month ago I moved back to Coventry into my new and shiney house. And it is absolutely awesome. I will have to post photos at some point just you show how truely awesome my house is. Basically an engaged couple were living here but they moved somewhere and so decided to rent it out instead. Sounds good to me. So it's decorated all nice, the kitchen is great with a huge cooker and the bathroom is amazing. (Jacuzzi bath anyone?)
And so I lept into job hunting, which is one of my two main focuses so far. After transfering job centres (many, many hours later) I headed off to look for new jobs, mainly unsucessfully. All I've had so far is one rejection. That's great. No other replies at all... until Monday. Basically I applied to Argos for Christmas again so I'm going in tomorrow to see what they have to say. HOWEVER, on Monday I also applied for a job in the train station (think refreshments) and so on Friday I'm going in to talk to them. So I may have to say no to Argos as the other job will be more permanent with more hours. But we'll see how they both go. But yay I might actually have a job!
The second focus is the only thing I've mentioned in an update in the past month: Matt. Things are still so wonderful and I love him so much. I've had much fun the past two weeks buying birthday presents for him as I job hunted and feel I have got him a good spread of gifts that mean something. And I'm not usually good with presents. But in a week I'll have been dating him for 11 months. Squee! Yes SQUEE! It's almost our 1 year anniversary. All the people that said when I found something it would be great were right. I couldn't be happier.
It's weird though as recently one of the long term couples I know broke up, which is a real shame. I still need to message the other one I still haven't seen yet just to say hey. That's weird. My social circle is weird though because of the freshers mainly, though my socialising has shifted considerabley from last year, in a good way I think. It helps that Matt lives like 10 minutes from my house. It's wonderful.
And as a side note I'm very excited that both Heroes and South Park have returned. Woot. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
In other news... okay I'm not sure what other news there is. My mum's kidney stones have been causing her trouble again but I think she's okay. Aside from that there isn't that much going on. Job, boyfriend, friends, family. That's it really. So here's a meme and maybe it'll encourage me to keep on nattering.
10 things I could say to 10 different people right now
(Not just to LJers cause I do not have enough!)
- I love you! (Guess who I would say that too?)
-
- Okay I forgot to actually edit this part. Might do it tomorrow.
9 things about myself
(Like I've not done enough of these)
- I've become a Killers obsessive to the point that I went B-Side hunting, got annoyed at myself for not realising their tour ticket sales had opened (and of course sold out) and I'm really pysched for their new album (and I never get excited for music!)
- The thing I want to buy most right now is a PS3
- I had chips and curry sauce for dinner because I was late home (gaming with friend for the win!)
- When I meet new people I hope they like Doctor Who lots as it's easy to find something to talk about if they do.
- I haven't done any washing since I moved in. I'm still wearing clean clothes but I just have a large pile to wash.
- My ducks have infiltrated everywhere in my room. Last year they were confined to a shelf. This time they're on my bookshelf, window sill, on my tv, computer desk, random storage boxes and even in my wardrobe.
- Boo, the video game character, has taken over my life
- I've been rewatching through Friends again, and I never realised before two things: how annoying Ross can be, and how many jokes there are involving the male characters masculinities.
- I'm currently considering the pros and cons of entertainment journalism as a career.
8 ways to win my heart
- Share my sense of humour. If I'm not funny, we won't get on as well. If you're funny that's great too.
- Have a great smile.
- Love to cuddle.
- Play video games with me, or at least don't look down on that hobby.
- Let your inner child out a lot.
- Be impulsive. Not all the time, but just so life remains different.
- Love staying in as much as going out.
- Look at least a bit pretty (Looks aren't everything, but you're not going to win my heart if you look like Gordon Brown)
