Friday Five
My life would not be the same without this...
1. Song/Movie/Book:
I'm probably only supposed to pick one, but what the heck! Song wise it would probably be Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Not my favorite song in the world but listening to it at a young age definitely influenced me, especially my musical tastes. In the book department... well it'd have to be Harry Potter. Just because. Movies... oh how difficult. I'm going to go with Brokeback Mountain. That period was a significant turning point in my life which was only moved along by this movie. Helped me want to come out to my parents in some ways.
2. Person:
No one has influenced my life in a major way, but I suppose it would be my parents. Cliché I know but it's true!
3. Place:
University. There was no specific place that affected me growing up. And coming to University... well my life would just not be the same at all! And I mean that in the fact University is awesome.
4. Event:
The 3rd of September, 2005. When I came out to Becky. Huzzah for gays.
5. Self Indulgence:
Peanut Butter on toast... mwahaha...
Well good morning! Well oxymoron really. The sky is looking pretty grey, I got 4 hours sleep and I have *that* taste in your mouth after going out. But fret not as I have an interesting post for you! For the first time in ages, I'm going to tell you everything I did yesterday!
After getting to sleep at about 3am, I woke up at 8 o'clock for some reason. Not wanting to get up I decided to sleep some more as I didn't have lectures for a couple of hours. I woke up again at 10:30 from a weird dreams.
I can't remember the start but I do remember me, my mother and my little sister heading to see a film. We decided to go after my mum found out neither of us had seen Indiana Jones so she was going to take us to see the new one. To get there we had to walk down a long dark alley. We got to the end and ended up in a messy bedroom where we watched a film on a small tv. Then for no reason I'm at a car boot sale. I buy something from a woman so she gives me lots of free stuff, including a bin which the lid ends up on my head. I go back to our stall and look at my purchases, including a guinea pig. This guinea pig then goes around on the floor ending up almost being squished by a chest of drawers.
Anyway, quickly getting dressed and checking my online vitals I immediately headed to my seminar. On the way I ended up listening to My Chemical Romance - I Don't Love You, and The Killers - Bones. This seminar is the one where I did my presentation last week. Now I have to listen to other peoples. And I get marks taken away if I don't show up. Anyway, this weeks topic was 'Can privacy exist in a modern society?' or something like that. The first guy who did his presentation although was kinda cute, had a boring presentation. The second guy I zoned out on and all I can remember is the fact he had a bandage on his arm from giving blood. The 3rd person was female. *GASP A FEMALE COMPUTER SCIENTIST*. And her name was Krystal Foo. I'm not even making that up. Her presentation was a bit rubbish and her powerpoint BURNED MY EYES. Seriously. Anyway this is all rather dull so I end up daydreaming. Anyway the seminar finishes so I head to my next lecture.
Mathematical programming! On the way I talk with someone called Becky. She makes me realise I'm doing an extra module. I'm doing like 15 more credits than I need! Anyway the lecture is kind of dull so I listen to my Current Favorites play list on my iPod. Which I'm now going to share with you!

To be honest it needs updating but I'm quite content with it at the moment. Anyway, on the way out of the lecture I notice some graffiti on the 'desks' obviously done by me which I had forgotten about. The first said 'I ♥ Ryan' and the second 'I hate Ryan'. Made me laugh. I had forgotten I had done either! Anyway the lecture was finished so it was time to go home and have lunch.
That was until I got distracted. In the day time there are usually stalls in the Union. And yesterday it was posters. Currently being on a 'lets cover every square inch of my wall' binge I had to check it out. I ended up getting 3 (for just £5! Bargain!). Firstly I got my 4th movie poster out of my Top 5. Fight Club! This leaves me with the need to just get Moulin Rouge. Secondly I got V for Vendetta. Love the film, and I have to say its a good movie poster. And last, but by no means least... I got a Doctor Who poster. David Tennant is just made of fit. While in the Union I saw my ex-Facebook-Wife Becky, and Helen. This is good Helen, not Helen the bitch room mate of doom. And also for some reason Ninjas went past. I don't know why.
Anyway so I get back home and have lunch while watching South Park. I watched the episode Cartoon Wars where Family Guy goes to show pictures of Muhammed, like the ones that caused all the bad stuff in Denmark. And it was good. But a two parter...
So I had lunch and decided now would be the best time to start the project I had to do, mainly because it had to be in in less than 24 hours. It was to be done with my lab partner though, stalker Bob, aka Dave. This meant going on MSN. Of course I get other people talking to me, namely Ryan and Carly. So I do this work for a few hours. Nikki rings me to remind me to go somewhere at 5 oclock.
So at 5 oclock I go. It was basically event planning training. I needed to go so I could run the Glitterball next year! It was kinda fun when I told the hockey playing guy I was from Warwick Pirde. Haha. Anyway that was all dull but it had to be done.
Then I got back and decided to have dinner... until I got interrupted by Nikki on the phone again. She said she wants to go out and so trys to organise it. I get back to my dinner. Tuna, salad and bread. Hurrah! Followed by chips 'n' dip. This is of course watching the second part of Cartoon Wars South Park. Did you know the Family Guy writers are manatees? Thought not. Anyway I then still had chips to dip so I got some Ice Cream and stuck on an episode about the staring frog. Hurrah.
After this I did more work being interrupted only by Nikki to confirm the plans for the evening. Bows of course! So I rush to get the Bus at 10 to 10. It ended up just me, her and Kai going. Dodgy Dave was also there (different to the dodgy Stalker Bob) and we don't like him. There was also Tommy. But not the bitch cheerleader of doom so that's all okay. We barely danced but had lots of fun conversations. And Justin brought some sexy back. And we all laughed a lot. And yeah. Alcohol!
Then I started to feel tired so we decided to go. This was about 2:30am though so that's probably why. So we got home and instead of going to bed I did some more project til about 5am. I sat on MSN talking to Danielle, my Canadian friend, and James. I have to say I've redeveloped quite a 'crush' on James. I'm just hoping it goes down a good path. I swear sometimes hes flirty, but maybe thats just him.
Anyway so yeah I got to bed about 5am. And scarily enough... IT WAS DAYLIGHT. Seriously, wtf. So I went to bed and the day ended. Hurrah.
The End.
Now to sit around doing nothing all weekend!
