[Making Something Out of Nothing]

Jan 11, 2007 12:29

The vast majority of his evening has been put to good use turning the small apartment into the semblance of a home. He doesn't need much, but he likes some sort of order to the full picture. The details are important only to the extent of what they lend to the bigger picture. It's a very important thing to remember, and recently, it's something he's found himself forced to repeat like a mantra.

The details matter only to the extent of what they lend to the bigger picture. Looking back on his past interactions with a certain someone, he sees a lot of details. He doesn't at all like what they lend to the bigger picture. Not at all.

Wiping his brow, he rearranges the bed to yet another place. He's still got the rest to move around and put in place, and it helps chasing away the whys and wherefores and what-ifs. His mother cleans. He engages in manual labour.

To each his own.
