We wait to grow up.
Wait for the converse shoes, and lovehearts drawn in notebooks to become just a memory.
To fade into the sunset with yesterday, and the remnants of a childhood that went too fast, but has still yet to end.
But it never happens; the sun sets, and rises on another day, and we're still the same.
Everyone's always saying we grow up so fast, but we've never grown enough.
We're never old enough to capture our dreams,
Never how we imagined our lives would be at this age.
It never ends, and it never begins.
We're stuck in a limbo between bubblegum pink, and unattainable dreams.
