well it has been some time since i've posted. quite a bit is going on too. to start off, i am waiting to hear back from my most recent job interview. i interviewed for a social work job before thanksgiving. the job is in walker and i will find out in two days what the hiring decision will be. coincidentally, today boys and girls club called me for a second interview to "finalize" my position if i am still interested. SO, basically, i would prefer the social work job, but if i don't get that, i have a position w/the boys and girls club. we will see what happens!!of course i'm very anxious to know and wednesday can't come soon enough. on the one hand, everyone is being really optimistic and hopeful that i will get the social work job. which is why i'm hesitating to get too excited because...well that's just how it works. i have to be realistic to the fact that there may be more qualified applicants who've more experience in social work than me. but, at the same time i have some good assets as well. i do want this job, it would be secure, it pays more than any job i've interviewed for so far, and it's in the field i've decided i really want to be in: social work. for those reasons alone i prolly won't get the job. but we'll see. in any case i have work lined up for me.
also, i'll be moving in w/kevin temporarily until some paychecks come my way and i can afford to put a downpayment on a house to rent w/kara. it's exciting, the prospect of doing a "trial live-in" w/kevin! i'm pretty positive we'll be moving in eventually so this will be a good little practice run. it'll be nice to see him anytime i want since this long distance bs it getting old.
i'm losing motivation for school because i'm just too excited to be done and start working in the "real world". these stupid presentations seem trivial and unimportant. but, i can't lose focus i'm sooo close to being done!plus, if i keep my grades up i'll graduate cum laude.pretty cool!!
but i do have things to get going on now so i'm outtie.i will post on wednesday and let you know whether i'll be a social worker or program coordinator! :)
