And I love the basic idea. It has everything in its plot to be a story of scary, twisted, loving, basic humanity, maybe some basic good winning over an iron fisted government control that sends your children to their deaths as a form of media …and the lack of emotion just kills it. She doesn’t seem to feel anything, or even if she does she reins it in like a hardened 35 year old a moment later. I get that they are suppose to be use to the idea of killing, daily hardship etc, but she is not that old and well, the indifference makes it read like a dairy she was forced to keep for a high school English class…I really do want to like it though…*sighs*
