Imagine walking into your home, only to find it being ransacked by robbers.
That's what happened to one Valley homeowner near Dobson and Guadalupe Tuesday.
It was a close call for one homeowner as he walked in on the burglars and then found himself looking down the barrel of his own gun.
Two of the suspects ended up at a Native New Yorker where they tried to blend in, one of them got away.
The burglars got into the home, but they didn't expect Victor Moran to come home.
“I walked in to get stuff for the baby, like diapers and stuff and there were guys in my wife's room,” Moran said.
However when he and his brother-in-law confronted the intruders they pulled a gun.
“They panicked,” he said. “They were young. He pointed the gun at us. He had time to shoot one of us. I knew it was my sister's gun and I know she keeps it loaded so I backed up.”
Allowing the suspects to escape and run down Dobson into the Native New Yorker restaurant.
And that's where police apprehended the second of three suspects, with one slipping away.
“Everything worked out and nobody got hurt," Raphael Jaramillo said. "The only thing they got was the kid's jewelry that's it. Everything else they left.”
During this ordeal five schools were locked down as a precaution for about 40 minutes.
That third suspect is still at large, if you have any information contact Chandler police.
