I'm out! All stitched up.
Tell me why i was questioning myself.
"Am i supposed to feel nervous?"
"Am i supposed to be scared?"
"What am i supposed to be feeling?"
"There's a chance that i can lose the feeling in my arm.."
All in all, i didn't feel anything. It was quite weird.
The girl beside me, Amanda was nervous.
Mostly because it was her first time in a hospital.
Whereas i'm a different story.
So ladies and gents, i'm out and up.
Gretchen, let's go! :)
Thank you to the few that expressed concern.
OH, did i mention that the lights in the operating room is much brighter
than how it looks in Grey's Anatomy?
The room's quite cold.
Im still feeling where the intubation tube occupied my throat.
They gave it to me as a keep-sake, great souvenir eh?
The only thing that got me thinking was the intravenous tube.
The last time, the tube managed to dislodge from my vein and into my hand tissue.
My left hand bloated up triple the size. That was pretty funny.
Earlier the tube was hurting so i got it check before o started.
I woke up coughing! Pretty weird.
I thought it was going to be the eyelids flickering, cup of water on the side table
kind of thing. I'd better leave that to the movies.
So, all in all, the largest lymph node is out.
The other three minor ones are still there.
Doc didn't want to risk those because they're too close to my shoulder and arm nerves.
It was pretty quick. East General at 715, surgery at 915, home by 200.
Now... off to clean my desk before i start screaming for painkillers.
