I am officially registered for autumn classes at UW! Advising was okay, I personally thought it went a lot better than expected because everyone said how boring it was but I thought it wasn't that bad! Annnnnd, I got to meet a chick who was on the top 10 on American Idol! Her name is Leah V-something and I think she was on season 3 and she's from the Seattle area and she's going to UW next year and she happened to be in the same peer advising group as me and yea, so that was kinda cool I guess? lol, I don't know, but she's nice so that's cool. Advising made me really excited for college, but super confused and nervous at the same time. Like Linh, Cortney, and I all went to the health care interest seminar and whoa, not so sure I want to go into pre-med anymore. Everything about pre-med sounds so intense and it's freaking me out that if I want to do pre-med, I better be sure I want to do it NOW because I have to be taking the right classes and stuff for it starting NOW. So I guess I'll ahve to rethink all of that through. But besides that, I'm excited for school to start! I think I have a pretty easy fall quater, which will be a nice transition into college. I'm taking a FIG + a 5 credit class so I'll have 17 credits this quater! My FIG classes are Anthro 100 (Intro to Anthropology), and Chem 142 (General Chemistry) and then that Gen Stu 199 University Community Class and then I added on a Pysch 101 class (Introduction to Pyschology. And the nice thing is, on most days, I'll get done with all my classes by 12:20! (But that means classes start at 8:30, but hey, that's a lot better than 6:30 like with 0 period!) I really hope Cortney was able to get into my FIG too! I'm really anxious about getting room/roommate assignments! It's too bad we don't get them until late August!
Besides advising, I guess I haven't really been doing much. I'm able to eat again! :) So that means it's time to go back to the gym too! I've been working a lot, put in almost 30 hours last week, but I only got 17 this week but it's all good because Kat's back home so I have lots of time to play with her and her boyfriend Mark flies in from Davis tonight and is here for over a week so and Mark's great so I'm excited for this upcoming week! Plus, my favorite person to work with, Alexa, is going out of town for ASB camp and then getting her tonsils out so she's not working for the next week so I'm sad about that because I love working with her!
Celebrated the 18th bday over the weekend! Didn't do much, went to church (and everyone was back because there was a big wedding on Saturday!), did a little shopping and went out to dinner at this great Italian place on 23rd and then bounced over to Chart House for dessert and for a great view!
O yea, and my laptop is here and it's sweet! It's pretty small compared to everyone elses but I like it because it's super portable and it's light and the battery will last longer! But we don't have wireless internet so I can't do much on my laptop so I go over to Kat's house and steal their wireless. And even though it took me 1528312725 hours to figure out, I got all my songs on my iTunes library on my old comp moved over to my laptop! So at least I can listen to music on my new laptop!
Does anyone know if the Columbian printed the scholarship info for students from River yet? I know they pritned Hudson's Bay a while ago, but I haven't seen ours yet and I'm wondering if I just missed it?
