Writing, House Search and Reading Update

Well, I've done 412 words since I started typing not long ago while listening to Marianne Faithfull's first album (well, one of them!). I've not really had that much time to sit down and type today until just now but I've got a couple of hours before midnight to catch up to somewhere between 1667 and 2692. I am relieved to say that the larger number, which is what I actually need to aim for each day to catch up by the end of the month, has gone down from about 3200 over the past several days thanks to me getting down 6000-ish words in about three days. Therefore I'm confident about at least being able to hit my lower target tonight. :-)

I rang up about two one bedroom houses/flats this morning. The first one (the oooh! it's red! one from the other day) has been let unfortunately. The second one has someone who might be putting in an application for it but the lady was still booking viewings in, so I have one for Thursday afternoon.

I had a coffee and lunch with my Mum before getting three books from Waterstones, two with a £20 gift card Mum got from her friends and passed on to me and the third out of the money my Nan on my stepmum's side gave me as a late birthday present. One of the Waterstones books was my second John Green book "An Abundance of Katherines". I finished "Looking for Alaska" tonight after getting home from town but I'm saving "Katherines" until December. I've made a start on "Northern Sky" by Mark Radcliffe, which is centred around a group of friends and a folk club, and after that I want to read "Georgy Girl" by Margaret Forster.
