I felt sorry for Mirana in the film because you see she fears becoming her sister.
Alice is her true savior indeed.

It's why I think she makes a big mistake sending Iracebeth away. You know - she has her shackles by the end of the movie but she doesn't have Alice and most of all she gets rid of her only other a deterrent - her sister. Given her own darkness, how important was it to have to continue facing/confronting a living breathing example of what NOT to become?
That's where I am going with the sequel...
