The Chinese traditional Mid Autumn Festival is approaching, and this time I decide to return home to reunite with my family. Usually on such big occasion, my parents and I will have a party with relatives, like my aunts, uncles and grandparents, enjoying a banquet together. The value of the party lies not in the great banquet held in a hotel but in the reunion, with no absence of everyone, giving us a deep feeling of warmth.
Initially, I had the intention of going to Shanghai to celebrate the festival with my best friend, who studies at Fudan University. When I received the call from my mum, who told me that she wanted me to come back to spend the very day with them, I hesitated. It is the word said by another friend of mine that led me to be determined to go home. The word is, the older you grow, the less time you will have with your parents, so cherish the current moments. She is in Tianjin Foreign Language University, desperate to return home but the long distance carries the barrier, and she admires me a lot.
I must be fortunate not to be far away from my home, am not I?
