The other day I watched this thing on ghosts. Yes, apparently, I was bored, but it got me thinking that it is quite possible for them to be real. Well, not QUITE real; just a different level of being that is not quite human, yet not quite...not.
Here are my thoughts: The paranormal are merely a higher energy in a certain area of a place such as where one may have died. I believe they do not "haunt" a place, but a part of them thinks they are not dead. In other words, for a ghost to be somewhere, they have to have not accepted death. Sure, they'd be dead, and barely even existant. It would kind of be like more static in a certain area; just a little chill and the sense of a slight presence.
No, they can not turn out lights and break things. Something else could, though, and here is my next thought:
Poltergeists. Now, this is not altering my disbelief in God; I'm being very scientific about this, as you can see.
Poltergeists would be even more rare than a mere ghost. In order for a poltergeist to exist, the previous life of one would have to hold a very strong grudge against someone. That is what would keep their bond to the Earth. If the grudge is strong enough, it is possible for them to turn off lights and things. And recently I have experienced the light and fan going off. The electricity didn't go out, though, so perhaps, if a presence was in place, they hold a grudge against someone who previously owned the house.
Coincidence? Maybe. People who experience these things tend to make assumptions. Things such as that rarely happen, and usually there is an explanation, rather than just a ghost.
I don't really have anything else to say on the matter. There is no proof at all they exist. I think one would have to find out on their own through death. That is why no one is here to explain these happenings.
