Well Ho HO, he sure seems happier than a lot of people these days. Maybe it is because he is cleaning out his House with all the junk he is sending down our Chimneys.
Stupid people buying stuff, just to say "Look I gave you stuff". And what person in their right mind would give my 82 year old Mother a Pizzaria ? That little crappy round spinning thing? Geezzz, tell my sister to get a grip.
I really liked it when we were kids and my Dad would go to the grocery, buy all kinds of food for a family of 6 (six) and drive it over to someone's house, put it on the front porch and ring the bell, run back , get in the car and drive off. They would get lots of food and knowing who the giver was would not be important. I found that to be the best thing to do. See a need and fill it. Who cares if someone knows You gave it to them, as long as You know they needed it and would have not ever gotten it or could not have gotten it for themselves.
The fat guy in the red suit serves to remind us that the giving of ourselves or our time is the reward for a whole years worth of living. This season is not about retail, not about white beards, red suits, jingle bells or snow. Hacking down a living tree and pretending to care while you strap it to the top of your car or stuff it in the trunk is about as sad as putting a Good Suit on a Dead Person and buying a 6000.00 coffin (minimum) with satin lining to display the deceased before burying the whole thing and then feeling Good about it.
Sure, I want a funeral. But dont feel that you have done anything special for me afterward.
Sure cut down a tree and gussie it up with garland and lights, but the tree is still dead and you did not help it by putting all that crap on it. "lookie how pretty before we toss you to the curb" sad sad
Putting a damper on your Decorations? There are plenty of ways to sparkle up your life this time of year without killing a tree.
Put some thought into it.
and Happy Holidays.
After the first of the year, they have offered to let me be a virgin again. I dunno, it does not seem to be all it was made out to be, but then again, why not give it a go.
We will see.
