I'm facinated by what magical stuff may be coming our way, via Muggle innovation. I carried on a couple months ago how flying broomsticks might be coming our way - eventually. True, a wild thought, but just saying one never knows. Tonight I listened to National Public Radio, them fancy folk banging on about where, is headed, touch pad technology (iPads, iTouch, Touch screens & the like). In the report, it was said about touch devices:
"Your's knows you, mine knows me"
What they meant was, in future, touch devices/computers will 'learn' how we move and how we gesture and will use that to respond to each one of us, uniquely. Now, what they were on about is electronics will keep info in the Cloud, so if you, say, lose your touch pad phone, someone else picking it up will not get it to operate correctly - because their motions are different from yours.
Sound familiar there? Those lines reminded so much of Deathly Hallows 2, when Draco, backed by Blaise & Goyle, said to Harry, how his was using his mother's wand & said, "It doesn't understand me".
So, naturally my mind blew up like a sack full of Weasley's Wildfire Wizbangs. In the not too far off future, our personal electronics shall be as close to us as wands are to witches/wizards. So I wonder, will our electronics choose us, or will we choose our electronics? Hummm....
Ooooo hope you all had at least as nice a Christmas as I did. *hugs for all*
